Akvarell/Watercolor painting v 26
A combination of plain air and studio painting in transparent watercolour with emphasis on composition, colour, wash techniques, and brush control. Slide presentations emphasizing planning and execution of transparent watercolor paintings will be included and, each day, one or more studio demonstrations will be presented. The course will be conducted in English. Propably the last time Jim Bray will hold a summer course in Mullsjö.
Course leader
Jim Bray, Professor of Art, who currently heads the Art Department at Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, served as Art Department chair at Phillips University in Enid, Oklahoma for several years. He has taught and exhibited his work in Japan and Sweden and has won numerous First Place and Best of Show awards in national competitions. His instruction in watercolour and collage has brought students from many countries to study in the United States and in Sweden. The emphasis in his workshop will be composition and design rather than wash techniques and brush control.
